I am more than a little late with my review. My original plan for the consultation was to see if they would help my son who has an almost 1 inch difference in the length of his legs due to a Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis. In short, his growth plate in his hip popped out of the socket and the ball at the top of the thigh that fits into the hip socket began to die. After bone grafts and rehab he is mobile with a limp. I did not hesitate after Laura ( I can't remember for sure if that is her name) fitted my son for his inserts. His gait was more stable and the pronation of his extremely flat feet was corrected. She suggested I try an insert in my shoes as well, and reluctantly I did. The inserts worked for me as well. I have sciatic nerve pain in my lower back and flat feet as well and the inserts improved those issues for me as well. We just saw Shelley a couple of weeks ago to replace the old inserts. Because of COVID I can tell you that most of the time at home I would walk around with flat house shoes on and it did a number on my back. Shelley took my inserts and put them in my sandals, and what a relief it has been. So for myself and my son, Fix my Feet has done wonders to improve our mobility and quality of life. Thanks Fix My Feet!!!!

Dr Ibraheem Hoosain, is one of the top, if not the top, Podiatrists in the country. I saw two others before consulting with him, and both were not able to assist with my chornic foot pain. Dr Hoosian, was thorough, professional and had amazing bedside manners. He went through all the protocols made me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience and answered all my questions. Dr Hoosian also sent me for X-rays and a sonar, and was able to offer an in-depth diagnosis. Dr Hoosian made the orthotics in a fast turn around time, that were comfortable and suitable. He was able to also offer detailed exercises and rehab treatment going forward. He still answers all my questions on email, and is happy to go along the journey of my healing. I highly recommend Dr Hoosian. He is my far next level in his field, and so modest about it. I would recommend Dr Hoosian any day !

At the MGIA tradeshow this year I talked to someone about how I have had feet pain for the last 6 years. I want thrilled about the price (it was even discounted), but I was willing to try something that other people I knew said helped. It's been a few months since and my feet do feel 80% better. I look forward to this year at the progression my feet will take.

Plantar Fasciitis

What Is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of pain on the bottom of the heel. Usually indicated by pain in the first steps of the morning. Pain also occurs with the onset of activity such as walking and running, which subsides as activity rogresses, and usually returns after resting and then resuming activity. Plantar Fasciitis is considered a chronic inflammatory response rather than an acute injury. It is common in runners performing repetitive plantar flexion and dorsiflexion of the toes. It is also common with sudden weight gain.

The plantar fascia provides support for the medial longitudinal arch of the foot. The plantar fascia is stretched and the arch flattens slightly to absorb the impact each time the heel impacts the ground. The fascia is not very flexible and such repetitive stretching from impact can result in small tears in the fascia.

Signs And Symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis

Heel pain during the first steps of the morning is a classic sign of plantar fasciitis. This pain is the result of the foot resting in plantar flexion overnight. This allows the fascia to shorten. When the shortened fascia is stretched pain occurs. Pain is also common at the start of exercise and when resuming activity after rest. A history of recent weight gain or a sudden change in exercise pattern also is a sign of plantar fasciitis.

Pain continues due to the chronic inflammation of the torn fascia. A heel spur can be a sign of fasciitis, but is typically not a cause. About half of patients with plantar fasciitis have spurs.
